Hailing from the birthplace of coffee in India, this balanced yet lively cup offers delicate floral aromas with nuanced layers of mocha, stewed passionfruit and brown butter. It is heavy-bodied with caramel mouthfeel, transitioning into floral and honey notes with a lingering jammy fruit & oolong tea finish.This coffee is slightly higher in acidity so it works very well with filter coffee, black coffee or pour-overs.
- Quality: 1. This coffee bean was launched during the 1940s and has been the most successful among all Arabicas coffee from India so far. It is a very popular blend due to its high yield, bold beans, superior quality and resistance to leaf rust. 2. Saint Budan coffee is a Selection-795 (S-795) is considered to be the natural descendant of two of the oldest African cultivars of coffee - Coffee Arabica and Coffee Liberica with third variety being Kent.
- Coffee Cultivation: 1. The coffee is shade grown which enables the farmers to grow other commodities and also prevents pests, other insects to infect the coffee plant.
- Welfare: 1. The farm owners of the region have come together to provide sustainable wages to its employees and help them with their family or personal needs.
- About the Farm: 1. Baba Budangiri is located at an average altitude of 1400m ASL. Its geography and climate makes it one of the largest coffee regions in Karnataka. 2. Baba Budan was a 16th-century saint from Karnataka, who on his way back from a pilgrimage to Mecca, managed to smuggle seven coffee beans under the watchful eyes of the Yemenis and brought these to Mysore.These seeds were planted by Baba Budan himself on the Chandragiri peak in Kadur district of the erstwhile princely state of Mys
